Overview
What restaurant owners use funding for.
Restaurants live and die by cash flow. The walk-in fails on a Friday, a supplier raises prices, or a slow month lands right before your busy season. Lenifi looks at your daily sales, not your industry code, so you get a straight answer fast.
- Covering payroll during slow weeks or seasonal dips
- Buying inventory and locking in bulk supplier pricing
- Replacing ovens, coolers, fryers, and POS systems
- Renovating the dining room or building out a patio
- Opening a second location or a ghost-kitchen line
- Funding local marketing, delivery apps, and catering launches
Why Lenifi
Why restaurants choose Lenifi.
We understand food-service cash flow
Daily receipts, card batches, and seasonal swings are normal to us. They don't count against you.
Decisions the same day
Send three months of bank statements in the morning and get a real answer before dinner service.
One funding desk
Our own desk underwrites and manages your deal, with clear terms and one Lenifi relationship.
Flexible repayment
Repayment moves with your sales, so payments shrink in the slow weeks after the holidays.
Credit challenges are okay
A 500+ personal FICO is enough. Revenue counts far more than your credit score.
Funding from $10K to $2M
From one equipment replacement to a full build-out, the range covers it.
How restaurants use revenue-based funding
Restaurants run on thin margins and sharp swings. A walk-in compressor fails on a Friday, a slow February follows a strong December, a landlord wants a renewal deposit, or a second location opens up and has to be signed this month. Little of that fits a bank's timeline, and almost none of it fits a bank's collateral rules: kitchen equipment loses value fast and leases rarely transfer.
Revenue-based funding looks at your card and cash deposits instead. We read three months of business bank statements: total deposits, how steady they are week to week, your average daily balance, and whether other funders already take daily payments. A strong summer and a soft winter is normal seasonality, not a red flag, and we price it that way.
Payments are a fixed daily or weekly debit, not a share of each ticket, so you can plan for them like food cost and labor. Most restaurant advances we write run $15,000 to $150,000 over six to twelve months, funded the same day, typically 2–6 hours after approval.
Restaurants get into trouble by stacking advances in a slow season, then carrying four daily payments into the next one. We check your existing advances before making an offer. If your deposits only support a smaller amount, we'll say so instead of writing a deal that hurts the business.
Monthly deposits
What a $40,000 advance looks like for a restaurant
A single-location restaurant with $95,000 a month in average deposits replaces its walk-in cooler and refreshes the dining room before summer.
- Advance amount
- $40,000

1.38 is a common middle rate, not a floor or a cap. Your rate comes from your own file: deposits, time in business, and existing advances all move it. This is an illustration, not a quote. Use the funding calculator for your own numbers.
