Choose an MCA if…
- You need funds this week, not next month.
- Revenue swings week to week, so a fixed payment is risky.
- You've been in business 6–12 months.
- Credit is a weak spot but deposits are healthy.
Choose a term loan if…
- You want one predictable payment to budget around.
- The spend is planned, not urgent.
- You've been in business 12+ months with steady revenue.
- You'd rather spread repayment over a longer term.

How the cost is calculated
A merchant cash advance has no interest rate. It uses a factor rate: one multiplier on the amount advanced. Take $50,000 at a factor of 1.38 and you repay $69,000 total, however fast or slow the balance comes down. No amortization schedule, no interest building day by day.
That changes how you compare offers. A term loan's annual rate spreads cost over time, so paying early saves money. An advance's cost is fixed at signing, so a shorter term means the same dollars leave your account faster, not fewer dollars overall. What matters most is the daily or weekly payment, and whether your deposits can comfortably cover it.
Rates are set file by file. 1.38 is a common middle: stronger files price below it, tougher files above. Four things from your bank statements decide where you land: total monthly deposits, how steady they are, your average daily balance and negative days, and how many other funders are already taking payments. Clean statements with few positions price best.
Before you sign anything, with us or anyone else, add up every daily debit already leaving your account. If your total debt payments are past about a third of your true revenue, another advance usually makes things worse. We'll tell you that plainly. Sometimes the honest answer is less than you asked for.
